This policy explains what personal information the Warwickshire Woolly Walks website collects, how it is used and protected, and the choices and rights you have.
This website is run by Warwickshire Woolly Walks, based in Warwickshire. Warwickshire Woolly Walks is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy by emailing info@warwickshirewoollywalks.co.uk or calling 07490 237023.
We only collect personal information that you choose to send us. When you use the contact form, we receive:
your name and email address
your phone number, if you give it
your message
We use the information you send us to read and reply to your message, and to keep you up to date about the walks you asked about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries or, where you are asking to book, taking steps before entering into a contract with you.
We do not sell your personal information. It is shared only with:
Digital Spa, who designed and maintain this website, and our website hosting and email providers, who process information only so that the website and its forms work
Mailjet, which delivers the contact form’s messages to our inbox
Google, for spam protection (reCAPTCHA) and, only if you accept statistics cookies, visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
anyone we are required to share it with by law
If you contact us through WhatsApp or Facebook, those companies also handle your message under their own privacy policies.
We keep messages only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them.
Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the website; ordinary visitors are not given these. The website’s fonts are stored on this website, so no font service receives your details. The cookie banner stores your choice in a few small cookies (beginning cmplz_) for 12 months.
If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they look at. It sets cookies beginning _ga, and Google receives information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your browser and your approximate location. We keep this data for 14 months. If you decline, Google Analytics does not load at all.
The contact form may use Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam, which sends information about your visit to Google. reCAPTCHA is needed for the form to send, so it is not affected by your cookie choice. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Manage consent tab at the bottom of the screen on a computer, or by clearing this website’s cookies in your browser.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to how it is used. To do this, please email info@warwickshirewoollywalks.co.uk or call 07490 237023.
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
